    Fantastic review, it looks like a great game.

    Cheers

    Games with great graphics tend to scare me these days as the gameplay and/or plotline never seem to give it support. Honestly, I'd be much happier with a 16-bit game that can keep me fulfilled for hours at a time. Duck hunt, anyone?

    The visuals look fantastic and for that reason alone I would play it. I really need to build a PC gaming system soon cause all I have is a Mac and it won't run games very well.

    I've been hearing rave reviews about this game. Yours made me decide to give it a go :)

    I'll have to admit the graphics look quite stunning. As far as gameplay goes I've never been a fan of 1st person or over the shoulder style view.. I prefer the view of 3rd person.

    I'm a big fan MMORPG's where choice is a larger factor in character development than gear worn by the character. My first MMORPG was Asheron's Call and in the beginning every character was human. You choose your race such as white, black, asian (aluvian, gharu, sho) and after that it was all about skills you chose with your limited amount of skill credits. As you level you'd put experience in to those skills to determine their strength in combination with a weapon or armor.

    Most of the MMORPGs out there today all appear to be gear based to keep you chasing the carrot and the style of your character was chosen day 1 and you can never modify to a hybrid or make your "custom" character that is unique.

    Great Review!

    @Jason:
    I too love the character development side of RPG's. The Witcher seems to have very limited amounts of items that can actually be used as weapons/armour by the character to simplify the process of development. In fact the only thing you can do to improve your character is distribute the skill points and occasionally upgrade your weapons if you feel like it (which isn't needed to advance through the game).

    It's a shame really, because character development is what makes an RPG an RPG and not just an adventure game. Yet somehow The Witcher still manages to stun and amaze.

    Thanks.

    If it has character development then I'm in. I'm not a huge fan of the "dressing up" of a character cause in reality, you're playing with dolls. I want to be able to engage in a bad ass story with deep characters. I've heard good things about this game but never really checked it out. I think I may now. Later.

    Graphics is stunning, haven’t heard of it but after a long time have seen such fantastic visuals and also has a strong story. Ready to give it a GO :)

    Thanks for great review. Sometimes I surprised with people who can write a review this way, that people eager to play a game , or watch a film, or read book. I have heard about this game, but I don't pay attention to it, bit after reading your review I want to play it.

    The graphics are nice, but gameplay is more important if you ask me. Great review.

    Those are indeed some impressive graphics. Although as MIcrodes stated, games need to be orientated towards gameplay and not graphics. Take a look at WOW for example, superb gameplay but bad graphics. Where as this has superb graphics but lousy gameplay....

    @Daddy:
    If WoW had really nice graphics I would probably still be playing it now, even if I didn't have the time or money. That's why Age of Conan is brilliant. Gameplay should definitely take centre stage, but if a game has shockingly crap graphics but amazing gameplay it would be discarded whereas if a game has shockingly crap gameplay and amazing graphics, it would be popular.

    Bull3t, I disagree with the comment about graphics vs gameplay. A perfect example is starcraft... It is still a popular game, and it was made in the 90s.

    I'm with used on this, there are many classics that are still played until this day and graphics have nothing to do with them. Take for example Starcraft, Halo 1, Counterstrike.... These are games that have a following and are played because they have some of the best multiplayer to date. I love the progression of graphics but it seems that gameplay is an afterthought.

    I'm the same way as Franklin... To me it is really all about the gameplay and less focused on the graphics. I've played the 360 many times, and same with the PS3 with a variety of different games. None of them even seem to be fun or exciting anymore. For example I played through the first few levels of COD5 and it just isn't exciting. I HATE forced gameplay where I need to only go on one path and thats that. Why did previous games on older systems and consoles feel less 'forced' upon us as opposed to todays games.

    Even worse was the crash-on-save bug that would cause your game to crash while saving your game simply because you had too many save files. This would cause you to lose your entire progress since your last save file.

    The Witcher is a nice game with a very good graphic. We have in Germany very big the witcher Communitys with big fans!
